MEMHREP paid a courtesy visit to it’s Social Welfare branch in Ejisu. Speaking on arrival, the CEO of MEMHREP spoke about the operations of the NGO ie prevention,care and support of people living with mental illness.

Mr Adu- Amponsah, head of the department spoke about the neglect and stigmatization associated with mental illness in Ghana and how it would affect foreign investment if not addressed. He therefore called for the speedy passage of the Mental Health Bill which would go a long way to reduce the plight of the mentally ill in Ghana. He also assured MEMHREP of the department’s resolve to partner it in it’s future endeavours.
